Allahabad Bank inks MOU with SBI Cards for offering Co-branded Credit Cards

Kolkata, 8th Feb.: Allahabad Bank, the country’s premier and oldest nationalized Bank entered into an agreement with SBI Card, one of the leading and established players in the country’s credit card market for subsequent launch of Co-branded Credit Card for its customers. The strategic decision came in the wake of the bank’s effort to strengthen initiatives towards digitalization of payment processes.
The agreement was signed by Shri S.V.L.N. Nageswara Rao, General Manager, Allahabad Bank and Shri Girish Budhiraja, Chief Marketing officer of SBI Card.
Speaking on the occasion, the MD & CEO of Allahabad Bank Shri Mallikarjuna Rao said that although being a late entrant in the credit card market, SBI Card is the front runner today due to wide acceptability and efficient services. Shri Hardayal Prasad, MD & CEO of SBI Card reposed faith in the capabilities of the Bank to create a win-win situation for both.
The Executive Directors Shri N. K. Sahoo and Shri K. Ramachandran were also present on the occasion.
