Biggest Defeat for Humanity is Loss of Skill

Bhopal, Sep 16, 2018: The biggest defeat for humanity is the loss of a skill. Writer Priyamvad brought it to our notice through a reading of his story ‘Munna Bunaiwale’ on the occasion of the release of a children’s magazine, ‘Cycle’. This story was written under Takshila’s children’s literature residency, Takshila Bal Sahitya Srijanpeeth.
On 15th September, a children’s magazine, Cycle, was released in Samanvaya Bhawan, Bhopal. The magazine would be published by Ektara, Takshila’s centre for children’s literature and art, Bhopal. On this occasion, a santoor recital was presented by Ninad Adhikari. Harshit Soni accompanied him on tabla.
Shashi Sablok from Ektara read Cycle’s message. She said that as children we have all made paperboats. This paperboat is unfolded by us to make paper, which we have unfolded to make rivers, mountains and trees. Cycle is made out of all of this.
On this occasion, writers associated with Takshila Bal Sahitya Srijanpeeth- Naresh Saxena, Vinod Kumar Shukla, Sara Rai, AsgarWajahat, Arun Kamal, Priyamvad and Rajesh Joshi read their literary works for children.
After the author readings, the writers answered questions on children’s literature that were raised by the audience, for instance, is there a difference between literature for children and for adults? Adults write from their perspective, how do we know that children are making sense of these stories and poems?

किसी हुनर का ख़त्म होना इंसान की सबसेबड़ी हार है. कथाकार प्रियंवद की लिखी कहानी ‘मुन्ना बुनाई वाले’ से उभरता ये सन्देश आज साइकिल के विमोचन समारोह में मिला. वेतक्षशिला बाल साहित्य सृजन पीठ के अंतर्गत लिखी अपनी कहानी का पाठ कर रहे थे.
ज्ञातव्य है की आज भोपाल के समन्वय भवन में बच्चों की पत्रिका साइकिल का विमोचन समारोहपूर्वक संपन्न हुआ. इस पत्रिका का प्रकाशन इकतारा बालसाहित्य केंद्र भोपाल द्वारा किया जा रहा है. इस मौके पर निनाद अधिकारी ने संतूर पर राग किरवानी प्रस्तुत किया. इसमेंहर्षित सोनी ने तबले पर उनका साथ दिया.
इकतारा की शशि सबलोक ने साइकिल की चिट्ठी पढ़ी. उनहोंने सुनाया की बचपन में हम सब ने कागज की नाव बनाई है. हमने बचपन की इस नाव को खोलकर कागज बनाया है. और कागज को खोलकर नदी पर्वत और पेड़ बनाये है. और इन सब से मिलकर साइकिल बनी है.
इस मौके पर तक्षशिला सृजन पीठ से जुड़े रचनाकारों नरेश सक्सेना, विनोद कुमार शुक्ल, सारा राय, असगर वजाहत, अरुण कमल और राजेश जोशी ने बच्चों के लिए लिखी अपनी रचनाओं का पाठ किया.
रचना पाठ के बाद उपस्थित साहित्यकारों ने बाल साहित्य के बारे में श्रोताओं के सवालों जैसे, बाल साहित्य और साहित्य में कोई अंतर है कि नहीं? बड़े बच्चों के लिए अपने दृष्टिकोण से लिखते होंगे, इसलिए हम ये कैसे समझें कि रचनाये बच्चों को समझ आ रही हैं कि नहीं? आदिके जवाब दिए.
