India Installed 1 MW of Solar Every Hour in the First Half of 2018

New Delhi, Sep 26, 2018: India has crossed 25 GW in terms of total installed solar capacity, inching its way closer to the 2022 target of 100 GW.
In the first half of 2018, about 5 GW of solar capacity was installed across the country including both large-scale and rooftop solar.
According to Mercom India Research approximately 1 MW of solar PV capacity was installed every hour in India in the first half of 2018.
For the second year in a row solar is the leading new power source added in India.
