India Invites Global Indians for 9th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2019

The Embassy of India, Bangkok, along with the Indian State of Gujarat organised a seminar to promote the Vibrant Gujarat Global Business Summit to be held in Gandhinagar in January 2019.

Bangkok [Thailand] Oct 10, 2018: “Gujarat has been a hub of trade and commerce since over 5000 years when the port of Lothal connected the then India to the world. Today, driven by the entrepreneurial Gujarati spirit, the State acts as the world’s gateway to the opportunities in India and awaits to welcome the Global Indians to participate in developing India by investing in Made in India schemes,” said Rajkumar Beniwal, MD, Industrial Extension Bureau (iNDEXTb).

He was giving a presentation in a seminar on 8 October 2018 at the Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen's Park to promote the Vibrant Gujarat Global Business Summit.

“The 9th Vibrant Gujarat 2019 Summit epitomizes our commitment to shaping a New India envisioned by our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi,” Rajkumar Beniwal added.

The Embassy of India, Bangkok, along with the Indian State of Gujarat had organised this seminar to promote the Vibrant Gujarat Global Business Summit to be held in Gandhinagar in January 2019. While Abbagani Ramu, Charge d'Affaires, Embassy of India and Veerasak Kositpaisal, Vice President of the Federation of Thai Industries spoke at the seminar, presentations were given by Mr. Rajkumar Beniwal, MD, Industrial Extension Bureau (iNDEXTb) of the Government of Gujarat and by delegates from India and from FTI.

Key speakers at the seminar were Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Commercial representative Embassy of India, Abbagani Ramu, Chargé d'affaires - Embassy of India, Thailand and Rajkumar Beniwal, Managing Director, Industrial Extension Bureau, Govt. of Gujarat, India.

Abbagani Ramu, Charge d'Affaires, Embassy of India said while speaking at the seminar, “Vibrant Gujarat Summit was conceptualized in 2003 by Prime Minister of India and the then Chief Minister of Gujarat, Mr. Narendra Modi, to re-establish Gujarat as a preferred investment destination within India.”
He further said, “Today, the Summit has evolved into a platform for brainstorming on agendas of global socio-economic development, in addition to being a facilitator for knowledge sharing and forging effective partnerships.”

Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Commercial representative Embassy of India said, “Vibrant Gujarat is the name given to a biennial investors' summit held by the government of Gujarat. The event is aimed at bringing together business leaders, investors, corporations, thought leaders, policy and opinion makers; the summit is advertised as a platform to understand and explore business opportunities in the State of Gujarat.”

He added, “As India’s leading growth hub, Gujarat is firmly committed to national socio-economic growth, on the backbone of proactive governance, state-of-the-art infrastructure and complete ease of doing business. In addition to a framework for sustainable business, Gujarat provides a high quality of life, characterized by peace, happiness, and the warmth of our people.”

The 8th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, held in January 2017, witnessed participation from 25,000 plus delegates from more than 100 countries, including 4 Heads of States, Nobel Laureates, Captains of global industry and Thought Leaders. The event closed with business-to-business meetings and a networking dinner.

The 9th Vibrant Gujarat 2019 Summit will be held at State of the Art, Convention & Exhibition Center Mahatma Mandir located at Gandhinagar, the capital of State of Gujarat, India. The Mahatma Mandir at Gandhinagar is Gujarat's new world-class facility for International Conferences and event.

The complex is spacious enough to handle up to 15000 people. The Convention Hall has a seating capacity of 6000 people. It consists of 2 large sizes and 1 medium size Exhibition Centers, 7 hi-tech Conference Halls and 4 Seminar Rooms. Large foyer housing ATMs, Travel Desk, Food Court, Photo Gallery etc. are available at the venue for the participants.
