Woman Thought Leader Upasna Arora Gets Best Business Woman Award by ASSOCHAM

New Delhi, Oct 16, 2018: Mrs Upasna Arora, Prominent Woman Thought Leader of Delhi-NCR region has been awarded as the ‘Best Business Woman’ award for her role in successfully managing a Hospital Chain. Currently, Upasna Arora is Director of Yashoda Super Specialty Hospital based at Kaushambi, Ghaziabad for the past 14 years.  FICCI flo had awarded her with this award as an outstanding woman in healthcare.

Yashoda Super Specialty Hospitals is a group of three major hospitals located in Kaushambi (270 beds), Nehru Nagar (310 beds) and Sanjay Nagar (100 beds).

Mrs Upasna Arora got this award in the 2nd edition of Beauty, Wellness & Personal Care Awards Nite 2018 organized by Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ASSOCHAM) in New Delhi.

The award ceremony witnessed the renowned beauty expert Shahnaz Hussain, Blossom Kochhar, Sanjana Jon, Varija Bajaj and several other celebrities and industry stalwarts from the beauty, wellness and cosmetic, who were felicitated with awards for excellent contribution in their respective fields during this prestigious Beauty, Wellness & Personal Care Awards Nite 2018 on 13th October, 2018 in New Delhi.

“My passion lies in transforming healthcare in India by focusing on patient safety and affordable healthcare. As the Directo & CEO, I have worked relentlessly to ensure access to affordable healthcare for all, regardless of their socio-economic condition,” said Upasna Arora after receiving the award.   

She further said, “I believe in the power of spirituality in enhancing well-being. This belief permeates in my work, helping me develop a culture of ethics and values at Yashoda to ensure a seamless patient experience by actively seeking patient feedback. I have also been active in working for women empowerment.”

“My efforts in promoting gender parity in health care are rooted in the belief that unlocking the potential of 50% of the nation's workforce will not only empower women but also boost the growth of Indian economy. I am proud to say that these efforts have paid handsome dividends with the female staff outnumbering male staff at Yashoda,” she added.

Mrs Arora, who has also been active in working for women empowerment, said, “I am feeling delighted after receiving the award.”

In the past, Mrs Arora had also got UP Ratna Award. She has done fellowship with the WHO and Angelina Ruskin University from HTA. She has done lean management from Cardiff University, therefore CII sent her to visit the NHS hospital and for sharing best practices, only 10 people from India were selected. More than 25 national and international awards have been honoured upon her for the work done for women's upliftment, Newyork Technology Institute has also honoured her.

Mrs Arora is also Assessor of NABH (National Accreditation Board of Hospitals & Health Care Providers) and CII (Confederation of Indian Industry). She has done the Certificate course in Quality and Leadership from world’s prestigious Harvard Medical School and she has to her credit to be First ISQUA (The International Society for Quality in Health Care) fellow from India. Other awardees were Shahnaz Hussain (CMD, Shahnaz Husain Group), Kairali Ayurveda, Kaya, Samaya Spa etc.
