On-Campus Orientation in APG Shimla University

Shimla, August 23: Over three hundred new students from various States of India and foreign students attended an on-campus orientation of study in the APG Shimla University on August 21.

The Alakh Prakash Goyal Shimla University established by AP Goyal Charitable Trust as a nonprofit charitable organization, aims to mobilise world-class education and generate resources for supporting mass quality education for all kind of masses.

APG Shimla University has been also carrying out various social and welfare activities in education, health, and welfare sector. The University is befitting its status as the University offering professional degree courses.

APG Shimla University welcomed new students on August 21, kicking off the annual orientation of study activities.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ramesh Chaudhary, as a chief guest of the occasion, called upon the new students that “this is an exciting time for the University, particularly for the new students enrolled in APG Shimla University, as they begin a new chapter in tertiary education and the pursuit of their future careers.”

“This is the first step to achieving your dreams and we are here to help you have a memorable time while you do it. I trust you will enjoy the university’s commitment to providing the best possible student experience and quality education to achieve your goal in life,” VC Prof. Dr. Ramesh Chaudhary said.

“APG Shimla University has a world Class Infrastructure. The sprawling campus is spread over 44 acres of land on Shoghi Mehli Road in Shimla. We organize regular Interaction with Industrialists and individuals from the corporate world judges, prominent social workers, media barons, game-changers from the world. And update the students with latest market developments. We also organize regular discussions over latest performances of the industries and their Qtly/ Annual Reports. We give special focus on the personality development,” said Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ramesh Chaudhary while talking to Indian Observer Post.

Registrar Rajan Sehgal and Dean academic Dr. Kuldeep Chandel addressed the students that APG shimla University focuses on excellence in education, sports, culture, research, academic activities, innovations and we pride us on providing our students with a strong sense of belonging and it is with that university administration and faculties wish all new students the best of luck in their academic pursuits.

He added that APG University is a suitable educational place to study in the natural environment of Shimla and ragging free.

This orientation day remained as a success and beneficial day to the new students. “The orientation as a whole was very valuable in informing and giving an insight into the expectations of our courses. It also led to us feeling much calmer approaching our first day, and allowed us to be a lot more familiar with where we had to be,” new students of APG Shimla University said.
