Guwahati, Sep 05, 2019: Gauhati University Inter College Youth Festival concluded successfully on 4" September 2019 at the university campus. The closing and prize distribution ceremony were held at BKB auditorium hall of this university.

Dr Ranjan Kr Kakati, Director, Students' Welfare, GU and Secretary GU Sports Board explained the present scenario of youth festival and formation of GU team from this year’s winners to participate at National level.

Dr Kakati further said that it is a matter of pride that since the last few years, the achievement of GU team at national level competitions has increased manifold which is due to formation of GU team involving winners of inter college youth festival from different affiliated colleges.

The best college team award was lifted by GU PG Classes, Best singer Nipu Bhuyan of Nowgong College, Best actor Jyotirmoy Deoraja, GU PG Classes, Best Actress Rupashri Sarma Sonapur College, Best Debator Sahil Ahmed of GU PG Classes, and best disciplined team award was lifted by Abhayapuri College.
