We must ensure the survival of our handicrafts, traditional art, dance forms and music.
We should encourage our youths to keep these skills and creativity alive and robust.
She appealed to all that efforts need to be made for translating Manipuri works into English and other languages which would enhance the popularity of the work.
In his Presidential speech, Minister (Art & Culture) Shri L. Jayantakumar Singh said that the Manipur University of Culture does not have its own infrastructure.
Expressing optimism he said construction work will begin once all formalities are completed. Forest department has given clearance for the construction site of MUC.
He sought the public to work together for promoting cultural activities in the state and also urges to give good suggestion rather than criticism.
The closing function was attended by the Minister (Education/Labour & Employment) Shri Th. Radheshyam, MLA and Chairman (MANIDCO) Dr Yumnam Radheshyam and Commissioner (Art & Culture) and also Vice Chancellor, Shri Bobby Waikhom, as Guest of honours among others.
