Spanish Artist Eva Sánchez Participates in Children’s Literature Festival in India

Kolkata, December 4, 2019: Supported by the Embassy of Spain and Instituto Cervantes in New Delhi, renowned Spanish illustrator Ms Eva Sánchez took part in the Bookaroo Children’s Literature Festival in Delhi from 29th November to 1st December. The same will take place again in Bhopal on the days 7th and 8th December in the presence of the artist.

Saturday, the concluding day of November saw the super-interesting session titled ‘Revolution in the Jungle’ Doodle conducted with children aged 10-12 years at the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts, New Delhi. The following day the ‘The Origin of Species’ Workshop took place for children a little older ranging between 12-14 years.

The aforementioned events will again feature in Bhopal on Saturday, 7th December and Sunday, 8th December at Bharat Bhavan, Shamla Hills (Bhopal).

After the workshops, Ms Sánchezprovided autographs and chatted with children and their parents on acculturating art in the daily curriculum, in addition to academics.

Further, on the occasion of the artist’s presence in Delhi, two more important events were scheduled on Saturday, 30^th November. The day saw the launch of Sánchez’s fascinating new book “The Middle”, published in India by Pickle Yolk Books.

Later the same day she took part in a workshop on illustration, along with Arjun Gaind, one of India's best known comic book writers and Frenchillustrator Délphine Renon in the framework of the Times LitFest at the Margosa, India Habitat Center, New Delhi.
