Amid strong protests by locals, the Pakistan army has moved positive patients from Punjab province to Pakistan occupied Kashmir (POK) and Gilgit-Baltistan - the two most marginalised areas under Pakistani occupation.

Local Population has staged protests against establishing quarantine centres for Covid 19 there from Pakistan. Lives of locals of POK are in danger. The military leadership attaches no political or tactical importance to local areas of POK.

New Delhi, March 28, 2020: Foreign media reports accuse Pakistan army of sending confirmed Covid-19 patients to Occupied Kashmir to save affluent and powerful Punjab province population from pandemic disease. Pakistan army is forcibly moving Covid-19 positive patients. Consequently, large numbers of patients are being moved in locked transport carriers to Mirpur city and Gilgit.

Amid strong protests by locals, the Pakistan army has moved positive patients from Punjab province to Pakistan occupied Kashmir (POK) and Gilgit Baltistan - the two most marginalised areas under Pakistani occupation.

Sources in POK reveal that special quarantine centres have been set-up in Mirpur and other major cities in the occupied regions to cleanse the Punjab province of Covid-19 patients as army top brass has ordered that no positive patient should be anywhere near where Army facilities and Army family housing there.

Punjab is a strong hub of armed force officers and civil top brass. Affluence and development of Punjab has no parallels. Punjabi elite rule Pakistan.

According to reliable Pak media reports Pakistan on 28 March, 2020 had 1,415 cases of Covid-19 victims with 11 reported deaths while 24 had recovered. Punjab and Sind reported the highest numbers at 490 and 440 patients respectively of the dreadful disease. Baluchistan that shares border with Iran reported 133 cases. Islamabad has 27, KP (Formerly NWFP)180 and POK has 93 cases.

Pakistan shares borders with Virus afflicted countries namely China and Iran. The flow of Chinese nationals into financially wrecked Pakistan to build the EPCAP belt road project appears to have worsened the situation for Imran Khan.

China has built a road through POK, and Baluchistan. The ongoing projects have a large population from China.

Evidently contamination has come also from Chinese migrants. Punjab and Sind seem to have suffered because of international airports and the return of a significant number of Pakistani migrants from Covid-19gripped Europe, Saudi Arab, UAE, Iran, and other Arab countries.

Political leadership is crying hoarse against gross inadequacy of medical facilities and medical and paramedical staff in Sind, Baluchistan and KP. Baluchistan is the largest province with thin density of population. It is very rich in natural resources but least developed. Medical facilities are barely available beyond big towns and port areas.

Pakistan’s economy is in perils. Pak Rupee is very low in the international market. Its rupee is Rs. 166 to a US Dollar. Wheat, flour and natural gas is in acute short supply. Burden of foreign loan is mounting. The government of Pakistan sought more than 3 billion dollars from UN/IMF to face the challenge of Covid-19.

China has sent emergency aid to Pakistan to combat Covid-19 by road. Pakistan hopes it does not end up with more Corona cases.

NAPOLEON Bonaparte once said, “China is a sleeping giant, let her sleep, for when she wakes she will move the world”. China with more than 1.3 billion people,  is the second-biggest economy of the world. It has a GDP of more than $14 trillion. Recently Covid-19 outbreak put a temporary halt to its economy.

As per unconfirmed reports, Its share market crashed by 40% and yet it bought major market shares of European countries at 30%.Astute observers feel that abrupt menace of the virus reached European countries mostly through its Chinese population employed/deployed in Italy, France, Germany, Spain and some Arabian countries including Iran. Belt and Road project in these areas has proved to be a curse. As for Pakistan virus contamination has come mostly from Chinese traveling through land borders and air travels.

Local Population in POK is scared because the medical facilities there are poor and scarce. They have staged protests against establishing quarantine centres for Covid 19 there from Pakistan. Lives of locals of POK are in danger. The military leadership attaches no political or tactical importance to local areas of POK.
