Coronation of Corona in Nation: The Devastating Effects

Lucknow, May 1, 2020: Does the present scenario not reflect the imperialist ideology, dragging the whole nation being sanitized, modernized and quarantined under one canopy of threat?

To boost the fight against the Covid-19, in the recent times, DRDO has designed a full-body disinfection chamber, which is capable of disinfecting 650 persons until the next refill. The robots are getting deployed to administer the treatment and to provide support to the quarantined patients. DRDO has also designed a full bodysuit for the doctors and medical staff, to stop contamination through the virus.

IIT Roorkee has developed a mobile tracking application, which can track COVID-19 suspects who have been quarantined, using geofencing technology, and triggers a response if an individual exits or enters the boundary of any virtual geographic area. It has also developed a low-cost portable ventilator named ‘Prana-Vayu’.

Indeed! It is a coronation of Corona, in spite of putting a number of precautionary actions taken by the administration; the virus is expanding its outbreak rapidly in the entire nation without giving time to even get prepared to the general population.

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India has reported 34,862 confirmed coronavirus cases; with 67 more death since yesterday, the toll rose to 1,154. Along with that, there are 24,162 active Covid-19 patients in the country, while 9,068people have been discharged or cured.

If we look at the past, even before the devastating outbreak of coronavirus, the humans were being more terrifying and destructive towards the very own Indian citizens. We have a clear reminiscence of the coldblooded and atrocious activities of the ‘proud’ citizens of the nations in the name of nation itself.

We have found a number of cases in which the ‘ordinary’ people of India acting ‘extraordinarily’ for the sake of glorifying the human past and preserving the national identity, and also creating a ‘great example’ of democracy.

We get news of innocent people being beaten up insensitively and killed by the mob of specific religion, caste or certain community, in newspapers and social media every day.

I was in an impression that, this exceptional and exclusive virus has already created the immense threat of being infected by touching the other person irrespective of caste, creed, culture or ‘Religion’, and when the one is not even supposed to touch their very own face due to the threat of getting infected, this cumulative form of human lynching will also get entirely discontinued.

But by breaking that dreamy imagination, I evidenced the news of an incident latest by now that two Hindu ascetics had brutally lynched along with their driver by a mob in Maharashtra’s Palghar district last week, who were affiliated to Shri Panch Dashnam Juna Akhara in Varanasi, which is the largest Akhara in India.

‘The Sadhus from across the nation would gather in Nashik after the lockdown is lifted to demand an investigation for the lynching occurred, and they will march all the way to Mumbai to make their demands to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’, said Prem Giri Maharaj, the International President of Juna Akhara.

This incident, which created a massive political row, took place when a group of villagers stopped the men while they were on their way to a funeral in Silvasa and attacked them with stones, logs and axes.

“I made a call to the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Uddhav Thackery, in reference to the murder of saints, Swami Kalpvriksh Giri, Swami Sushil Giri and their driver Neelesh Telgarhe. And I requested him to take the strict action against the culprits,” Yogi Adityanath had said in a tweet after the incident.

Added another tweet, he conveyed, ‘The Chief Minister of Maharashtra assured him that, over hundred people has been arrested for the same, and the strict action will be initiated against the accused persons after their identification.’

How could we claim to be in the democratic nation, whereas due to the diminution of values within us, we are losing the fundamental and elemental feature of the democracy which is to protect the life and the liberty of the citizens first?

Once Mahatma Gandhi had stated that ‘One must not lose faith in humanity’, but unpleasantly it had to be mentioned that humanity had somewhere lost its esteem from the hearts of the so called humans nowadays.

One way or another, with no trouble we can categorize the humans in four sets, one; who are the sufferers, two; who are the problem makers, third; who are the silent percipients & forth; the demonstrators or the protesters. Amongst all these, most of us come under the third ‘Cool’ category; the ‘silent spectators’.

In spite of doing something conjointly, we try to enjoy our liberty and prosperity rather than to rescue others’ as well.

We, the PEOPLE of India, have solemnly resolved to constitute India into a sovereign, socialist, secular and democratic republic; and now we are very much busy in consuming the sanitizers like crazy these days to clean our red hands, stained with other human’s blood. It is certainly shameless and terrifying.

Now the questions arises, how would these peers justify their causes of getting involved in such inhuman acts, how would it be possible to stop these vigilante attacks over the other communities at any point of time, what measures should be taken for controlling these sort of human lynching, and how would the religious actions and the motions stop completely being accomplished?

Somehow if we observe, we find that the Virus is spreading the message of being non-violent, to be quarantined, peaceful, helping for others and to keep renunciated from the worldly desires, and this is the high time to learn the basic moral values, norms of the cultures, authenticity of religion, accurate traditions and the tenderness in nature on the humanitarian ground, which is highly required at this stage of life.

If India wants to become a progressive country, the above questions have to be clarifying shortly.
