Following the report of the individual tested positive for COVID-19, Imphal East DC has sealed the building of Jamia Halima Aziz, Khabeisoi where the man was quarantined earlier.
Impha East DC Dr. Rangitabali Waikhom on Thursday issued the order to this effect in exercise of the power conferred under pra 12 of the Manipur Epidemic disease, COVID-19 Regulations act 2020.
The DC issued the containment measures to prevent spread of the disease after the individual from Khomidok Masjid Maning tested positive.
The said building is completely sealed and any person/institution/organization found violating any of the containment shall be deemed to have committed an offence under section 188 of the IPC, the DC stated.
