World’s first Dedicated Web Portal for Empowering Tribal Women (Adirani) launched

Union Minister launched the web portal www.adirani.com via Video conferencing

Bhubaneswar, June 03, 2020: Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Smt Renuka Singh Saruta on Tuesday launched World’s first online web portal www.adirani.com, a platform for Empowering Tribal Women.

Tribals of India has lot of talent and potential, and such kinds of initiative will empower the Tribal Women across the World to show case their inherent talent and they will be facilitated through this process, said Smt Renuka Singh Saruta, Union Minister of State, Tribal Affairs, after formally launching the web portal via Video Conferencing.

Union Minister of State Smt Renuka Singh, while addressing the web conference online from her office at Tribal Affairs Ministry, New Delhi as Chief Guest, highly appreciated the team of Adi Tribal Foundation, led by Sri Binod Kumar Panda, President and Dr. Chidatmika Khatua, Secretary General for this inspiring initiative.

At the outset Sri Binod Kumar Panda, President Adi Tribal Foundation gave welcome address, Dr. Chidatmika Khatua, Secretary General Adi Tribal Foundation, explained about the organization and how to empower the tribal women through this system. Dr R. N. Behera, Chairman, Technical Committee gave the brief presentation of the online portal.

Dr. Sanjib Kumar Patjoshi, IPS, Jt. Secretary, Govt of India gave his best wishes for  empowerment of tribal women through this platform and Sri Sweta Kumar Dash, Dy Secretary, ST & SC Dept Government of Odisha expressed his good wishes for the event. Dr Debendra Majhi, Director, Dr. Ambedkar Foundation, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, GOI gave the thanking notes. Sri Rajanikanta Mishra, Vice President of Adirani Foundation co-ordinated the deliberations of other life members. Sri Pravat Kumar Prustry, Treasurer, Adi Tribal Foundation gave his views on this occasion.

Around 60 people distributed around the World were present in the video conferencing mode. The Adi Rani Dot Com portal facilitates tribal ladies across the World to register online with identity proof and upload her latest performance video of maximum 4 minutes for participation. National level reputed juries decide the selected candidates for final event.
